Pakistani bloggers help out Indian fellow bloggers
As almost all international news these days is full of hatred, war and violance, it is encouraging to detect that the Pakistani blogging community is reaching out for Indian fellow bloggers. As I wrote yesterday, the Indian government has stupidly blocked access to a very large number of blogs, including those hosted by Blogspot.com.
The Pakistani bloggers have had similar problems with their government trying to ban access to blogs the same way. Help-Pakistan.com has a script
“which quite simply needs to be installed on your file server and one line of code inserted into the header file of your website. Once installed all your surfers will automatically use pkblogs for all outgoing blogspot links”
The script can be downloaded here. Help-Pakistan.com asks the Indian fellow bloggers to
consider this as a gift from Pakistan to all Indians in hope of building friends across the border
Pakistani bloggers have also successfully used the proxy servers of Pkblogs.com to overcome the blocks. A similar application has now been launched as Inblogs.net with the difference that it is more suited for the Indian traffic.
Dr. Awab Alvi writes in Google’s BloggersCollective:
I am a fellow blogger living across your borders in Pakistan I am also the co-founder of the Don’t Block the Blog campaign when Pakistan was confronted with the dilemma of facing a blanket blockade of the entire blogspot domain. We seriously thought it was because of a thick and stubborn headed Pakistani government that resulted in such a stupid move but seeing the Indian Government react similarly it seems all governments are the same when they want to implement decisions always without due thought and consideration.
Reading a few emails in this group just recently it seems the Indian government might actually come to its senses and finally lift this blockade surely a big relief to the world, but until then we would like to present the Indian Blogging community with yet another tool to be used on their websites which converts all Blogspot links into a URL utilizing the proxy servers of pkblogs.com.
This is what I call a true solidarity among bloggers. The blogging community is showing an example worth to be followed by the leaders of this World. Just to make it a little bit better place.

Thank you Larko, now I understood the whole story. That help was from “Teeth Maestro”, the world is very small and the blogging community is even more :-). There was an Indian guy in European studies course he was always giving example to whole class that how India is better than Pakistan. And once he said the whole Pakistani population is poor and uneducated thats the reason they produce only 4 IT engrs. while India produces 4000 a year. I replied to him that country of over 1 billion can produce 4000 engr. a year and if Pakistan with 150 million is producing 4000 IT engrs. a year then whole population will be only IT people. And also its quality which matters and not the quantity ;-). The whole class started laughing
and he got mad but its sad the guy is a journalist and still writes speech of hate in various papers.
But anyway I am glad blogging community is working as a single community and breaking the borders to help eachother
