What if?

I was more inclined to like the idea of Hillary Rodham Clinton as the American president when her husband was still in the office than I am today. I have nothing specific against her and to be honest, it would not need much of a president to get a better one than the hang man of White House. But now that Barack Obama is very much in the business, the differences between the two are starting to show.

Just a thought: what if Al Gore had gotten the idea of asking Mrs. Clinton to his running mate instead of Whoever-it-was back in 2000? That could have made the difference in Florida and we just may have gotten another line of history.

Then again, history does not recognize the what-if game.
