A Swedish contractor had an order from Iraq in 1990 of bullet proof windows for a dictatorial palace in Bagdad. Bullet proof is of course an understatement. The windows were supposed to resist anti tank ammunition.

The windows were shot at during several weeks by Älvsborg regiment I 15. The windows were then installed in Saddam’s palace which was bombed down during the Gulf war in January 1991.

I have no information on whether the windows were intact after the bombing.
