Expensive tasteThursday, March 22, 2007 at 17:45 | Posted in Estonia, odd | Leave a comment
The Estonian daily Eesti Päevaleht writes that a mouse eating banknotes was discovered in an ATM belonging to Hansapank. Security personnel serving the machine detected several torn banknotes in a casette. They took the casette inside the bank office and opened it. A mouse was looking back at them and quickly disappeared.
The mouse had an expensive taste. It only ate banknotes of 500 Estonian crowns. That is the biggest banknote in Estonia, worth 33,33 €, according to the official rate of exchange.
Security experts naturally said this was something that should not be possible to happen. What else is news?
