No cookie today

The unfortunate goal I wrote about turned indeed out to be the only one of the classic game. Finland was pressing throughout the last period but got no cookie today. The Swedish goalie Johan Backlund played an excellent game but at least one shot out of 38 should have been a score.

If Finland just had to loose a game against Sweden in this tournament, it was good that it happened in the qualifying round. My dream of a final game between Finland and Sweden is still alive. And repeating the miracle of 1995 would be a dream come true.
