Isamaa ilu hoieldes

Epp posted the other day about the importance of the Song Festival in Estonia and what it means for the people. I did some searching in YouTube for the Youth Song and Dance Festival last weekend. I found two different versions of Alo Mattiisen’s legendary song “Isamaa ilu hoieldes”.

Both of these two YouTubes display a different feeling and experience on the song field during one and the same performance. Both of them are important. The feeling of that song when you have 100.000 people between yourself and the performers and a cell camera to capture it. And when you have access to all of the latest equipment and the show itself.

So enjoy, people, and remember that a General Song Festival is going to take place in just two years.
