The point that APEC spokesperson Anne Foolwood and the Australian PM John Howard seem to want to make at this video footage is that peaceful demonstrators should consider supporting APEC if they are concerned of poverty and violent protesters will be taken care of by the appropriate law enforcing officers. What I wonder is how come they need 8 minutes and 21 seconds to make that point. It took them five (5 !) minutes to even start talking about the security of the APEC meeting in Sydney.

It looks to me that most of the people this clip is intended to will not watch it long enough to hear the message. If you have little or nothing to say you should preferably make it short. Incidentally, it is a good advice even if you have more to say than Foolwood and Howard. This message would have fitted in a one minute clip without a problem.
