Turn off that freaking cell!

I have not used a cell phone for three years and I am not missing the damned thing a second. There are apparently still quite a lot of people who do not understand that it is utterly impolite to have a cell switched on at every  moment anywhere they go. I am glad that White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs made a point of it.

  1. This is a nuisance that has been a pain in my butt for several years now – ie. cellphone users who are impolite and stupit, or else just inadvertently reveal their profound perversity (exhibitionism).

Happily though, I think that in most recent times there has been a slighty more of a decency with these persons’ conduct. At least in long-distance trains (which I use frequently inside Finland), I don’t remember any drastic incidents of this kind for a few months.

  2. The Helsinki tube is still a place where you are more than likely to hear several persons discuss their personal issues and be involuntarily over heard by others. There is absolutely no escape of the pain in the butt.
