Google bombs
Wikipedia defines Google bomb as follows:
A Google bomb is Internet slang for a certain kind of attempt to influence the ranking of a given page in results returned by the Google search engine, often with humorous or political intentions.[1] Because of the way that Google’s algorithm works, a page will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page use consistent anchor text. A Google bomb is created if a large number of sites link to the page in this manner.
Creating Google bombs is fun. You either do it in order to make a point or just for the kicks of it. Sometimes you see a bomb explode in no time at all while other bombs may have no effect at all.
I wrote this page in order to collect some Google bombs that I and others have created. Putting all of them at one place helps me follow up the effect of each bomb and offers anybody a chance to catch a bomb and spread it in their sites.
I am going to update this page as I either create a Google bomb or detect a link that I think deservs to be made a Google bomb. You are welcome to contribute by submitting a link in the comments. If I agree that your suggestion should become a Google bomb, I shall add it here and spread it elsewhere. However, if it contradicts my understanding of ethics or good taste, I shall delete the comment.
Here are the Google bombs collected so far:
